  • Vray RT 2.0

I have added Vray RT 2.0 as a production renderer, and I still have all the same roll-outs as the stand alone renderer, with the additional Vray RT roll-out at the top.

So does it work in the exact same way, I need to set up my GI, image sampler etc etc? I thought Vray RT was unbiased? If I am setting up my GI to be light cache, irradiance map etc then surely its biased?

V-Ray RT is unbiased (it will not use the irradiance map or light cache currently, even if you have set them), but it still takes some settings from the production renderer - see the section "Render settings from the standard V-Ray renderer" here: http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/rt10...s.htm#settings

It was easier to just add all the regular V-Ray settings (as we also plan to support other features from the production renderer in the future) rather than redo the interface to expose only the relevant features.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.
