  • RT forum activity

There seems to be far less activity on the RT forums than in the main Max Vray forums. Are people just not using RT so much? Or is it that there is very little to tweek/comment upon in the RT setup?
    Kind Regards,

I've noticed the same thing, Tricky.

I might guess that it's a combination of the fact that most folks are using RT as a pre-final-rendering tool and are thus not counting on it so much as to have lots of issues, and then also I think folks are waiting for more regular Vray stuff (blend materials, composites, displacement, etc.) to be included so they can start using it more often for production - and then perhaps we'll see more activity as more folks start to use it for more critical elements of their projects.

Also yes, you make a good point. Because of the nature of PPT and the lack of bias controls, things can be fairly simple around RT-Land and even when using GPU it's really a matter of getting the hardware situated and then throwing the files at it and seeing what you get and how long it takes to get it.

I figure that there will be much more activity in the future...

yes that's true , It's easier to understand and learn than regular VRAY. So, no need to ask so much .
Many features aren't plugged on GPU side at this time like blending, car materials ... so, it's not possible to use it everytime .

it's making it one of the better tool of my toolbox !! Easy to use, easy to learn, Faster !! It's just need to be stronger now
With blending materials, displacement and dispertion it could be the most wanted tool and this RT forum will take a lot a live .
