  • Nvidia Cuda Source Code Released

Appears Nvidia has released the Cuda source code, for not only get software cuda-programmed working on Nvidia chipsets, but too in processors like Intel or Amd.

You can download it from here:

It is interesting, but would AMD or Intel be interested to take the code and make it work? Their OpenCL compilers are already based on LLVM since the beginning anyways, as opposed to the CUDA compiler which was based on Open64 initially and only switched to LLVM for the CUDA 4.1 release. Further on, we did have some strange issues with the nVidia compiler from the 4.1 toolkit (both CUDA and OpenCL).

    Best regards,
    Vlado
