  • Best graphics card for vray RT osx maya 2013

    Hi

I'm having pretty slow performance with vray RT on the current project i'm working on. (version below)

    I am using a 12 core mac pro 2012, with a radeon HD 5770
Will there be a significant benefit to upgrading to a geforce gtx 680?
Or is there a better card out there for the same price area?
I am using snow leapord. If i use mountain lion will this increase speeds?

    thanks

    Heya

So the Vray RT GPU only works with Nvidia GPU. So your ATI card start to render fail and then your CPU is rendering. You need GTX 680(4gb) GTX Titan or GTX 780 or other Nvidia GTX based graphic cards.

which is the fastest benchmarked nvidia card?
Are these mac compatible these days? I know the 680 is as there is a mac edition
Also is it ok to use Snow Leapord?

I believe its Nvidia Titan 6gb. Not sure if it will work with Mac.
