Hi,
I'm not sure if perhaps I've set things up wrongly, but when I use opencl it seems to be slower than when I use cpu rendering.
My processor is a 3770k overclocker to about 4.4ghz. The graphics card is a Firepro V7900, which, I know is a bit old, but it works with opencl 1.1 and has about 1200 stream processors which is a reasonable number.
I was thinking of investing in a titan which I think has about 2800 cuda cores, but if the speed scales up linearly I can't see how that would be worth it.
Clearly I'm misunderstanding something. Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong?
Thanks.
(btw I did try rendering with cuda, which, surprisingly worked, but was really really slow.)
