Xeon Phi VS Nadia QUADRO

I wasn't quite sure with post this open question in regards of where rendering is heading.

i personally specialise in V-ray nuke and Standalone, so i'm personally invested in V-Ray RT and how i can get sexier shot to my sup and client. so my personally goal is to get more in to a render in less time so there for i am a optimisation freak and when it comes to finding and developing render trick i wont shy away from it.

in principal gpu rendering is all about how many cores you have in the cards that make it faster (a simplified version of the argument for Gpu rendering)

SO Xeon phi has been out for some time now and i know there is a version of embree out for it and you may need to rewrite code in opencl for xeon phi to work with v-ray, as coding for CPU is still more superior to GPU (because cpu can still compute more complex task vs gpu).

so is it worth investing in experimenting in xeon phi or is there something im missing about xeon phi which mean there isn't a version of any render available for it?

i guess what im asking is, why hasn't any one tryed deving a render for this card?

V-Ray doesn't support the Xeon Phi processors right now, so we can't provide any information about render speed or other test results.
