I was wondering, it takes quite a while for some large scenes with a lot of large textures to load onto gpu. the one nice thing about Cpu is it starts rendering fast because ram already has all the geometry and textures in memory. Is there a way that while we are working on a scene it can load everything to GPU and unload in case we change textures or something, it would make it so much faster to be able to hit render and it just start. I think if we can get rid of the long loading it would make the workflow so much better.

For the next service pack, the GPU rendering is done inside the 3ds Max process so the initial translation phase goes quite a bit faster. Textures are also cached between renders, so it's generally more snappy.

Sounds great Vlado, would it be better to fully load the scene onto gpu and off load and on load textures as you work? I would think this would make rendering instant. Also since there is no other use for the vram that rendering the scene might as well load it.
With rendering inside the 3ds max Process will this finally do away with the Command Prompt Vray rendering window? this window is a huge hindrance rendering scenes cause once the machine is done rendering that window stays open and keeps the GPU at full load, weird since it isn't rendering anything, but the mhz stay almost all the way up and heat.
