  • Reducing GPU resources used by RT in CUDA mode?

Is there a way to reduce the GPU resources used by Vray RT in CUDA mode? When I use CUDA I'm unable to even move my mouse (it stutters), let alone do anything in the viewport. I like the speed of CUDA but most of the time I use CPU because of this issue.

Try reducing the Ray Bundle Size and Rays Per Pixel amounts, found in Render Setup/V-Ray RT. Experiment a little by test-rendering as you reduce the numbers. I find I can increase the interactivity of the interface significantly while not reducing rendering time. Keep in mind that if you are using RT DR, you may want to increase these numbers again to optimize network transfer of data and therefore optimize DR rendering times.

    Hope this helps,
