3dsmax adapter error 20.4

error message is as follows:

3dsmax adapter error : Autodesk 20.4 reported error: [V-ray] [VRayRTMax:Render] generated an exception.Aborting

When submitting a GPU rendering thru back burner all the frames keep crashing. I have restarted all machines and still get the same errors. Any suggestions?

Hello,

When that happens V-Ray should generate a crash dump called VRay.dmp in your temp folder. Could you attach it here or send it to support ?

Thanks for responding. When looking in my temp folder which is located on the root of C: its empty? Any other location.

I found it! I was looking on my workstation and not the render slave. However it wont let me attach the document "Says its invalid"

The dump file should be in the windows temp folder - you can access it if you type %temp% in the windows explorer address bar.
Maybe if you zip it the forum will let you attach it here ? Or just send it to our support.

Thanks for the dump. Can you try to download V-Ray from the site again and install the newer version. We've added a small fix lately that could be related to your crash.

Yavor I'm still getting the same error message regardless of scene. I downloaded Vray 4.02.04.00004 and installed it. Is their a newer version than the one I installed ? And if so where do i download it from.

That's the last one. Since it doesn't help - it would be best if you could send the crashing scene to our support ?

Write an email to support@chaosgroup.com - if the scene can fit as an attachment then add it directly. If it is bigger - they can arrange FTP for upload.
Do mention this thread in the email.
