  • Glass / water material is making object behind transparent.

    VrayGPU Next Update 1. A simple transparent material (affect shadows, color+alpha) As you can see the alpha channel is incorrect, It makes the object behind glass material see through! Whats the problem here? This does not happen when rendering with CPU.

    Please let me know, thanks!

    Are you sure those are not just the reflections of the tall boxes?
    If it was that easy, it would have already been done

      That's my whole point, why is reflection showing in the alpha channel and making the larger box transparent? In CPU rendering the alpha channel shows everything completely white (Correctly) and doesn't show any gray or dark gray inside of the larger square as shown here.

            I have exactly the same question and don't want to start a new thread - did you get an answer to it?

                I received this answer from Peter @ Chaos;

                "Unfortunately the "Affect channels" toggle is not supported yet in V-Ray GPU. It's in the to-do list."

                  OK that explains a lot, I had to go and do alpha passes separately in CPU mode - very annoying. Thanks!
