I have tried many things in terms of noise thresholds, max and min subdivs etc. but nothing seems to really resolve the noise for GPU adaptive mode on this material.
It has a standard vmat controlling the refraction, and a Fast SSS2 material for the sub surface effects. The blend is set to additive, and manually balanced, but switching that back to energy conservation has no effect.
I can use progressive GPU with a lot more time given and it will slowly resolve.
