  • OptiX runtime version is different from expected: should be 6.0.0, found 6.1.2 - how to find the right driver version?

    Hi,

I use the Nvidia driver 430.86. and V-Ray for Rhino. I suppose so an other driver version is needed. At the time as I installed the latest VfR nightly than 430 was recommended. It's so difficult to get the right V-Ray and Nvidia driver version together. Please, could it be possible to add a note to every V-Ray installer, wich Nvidia version is recommended?

An other question, why is at the Chaosgroup GPU page not a full driver number shown? For example what means 430? Can I use every 430.xx version?

Got a similar issue, installed latest Vray Next, Nvidia driver is 431.7, and error states I have 6.2 and Vray needs 6?

In fact I just upgraded one machine and the error now says its using 6.5, but needs 6.0. Cant work out how we're meant to know what drivers to use!

We're terribly sorry for the confusion. This warning is no longer valid and we should have removed it, but we didn't . As long as the version of the OptiX Runtime found is greater than or equal to 6.0.0, all is good. Please feel free to ignore it
