  • Some AA filters in GPU bucket rendering don't seem to work. Build 4.20.90

A few of the AA filters in GPU bucket mode are no working right. Mitchell-Netravali and Catmul-Rom for instance are very blurry, almost like a box filter in GPU. Is this a known issue? I didn't see it in the docs as a limitation?

Here is Catmul-Rom in GPU and CPU respectively.

    Hey, Gideon,

Thank you for the post. I will look at this one, meanwhile could you please send to me this part of the scene?

    Cheers,

Looks like Lanczos in GPU is also not working right. Really blurry compared to CPU on higher res, small bumps/normals in adaptive mode.

Tried upping the res of maps etc. and still blurry on GPU in adaptive.

So is this logged at least as a bug?

Hello! Mitchell-Netravali and Catmul-Rom are not supported in V-Ray GPU. VRayLanczosFilter should work, as it is supported for gpu rendering. I haven't managed to reproduce the blurry results with size set to 2 which is the default value for VRayLanczosFilter. What's the size of image filter in your scene?
