  • GPU displacement artifact

I am having problems with normal displacement on GPU. I want to create a displaced version of the tube model at the top but I get these artifacts highlighted in the rendered image. Displacement on CPU works fine. Any ideas whats wrong? Scene file is attached.

Since the 'Cache normals' displacement option is always on when rendering with GPU, you would need to increase the quality of your displacement by increasing the subdivisions amount and lowering the edge length to match the CPU results.

That makes it a little better but artifacts still remain. Did you get rid of them? It is weird because the silhouette already looks good.
