One with adaptive on (second image) and one with adaptive off (first image). Everything is the same, except adaptive on gives me the boxes (ceiling upper right on the second image). I used an HDRI in the V-Ray Dome. I am using MAX 2020 and the latest and greatest V-Ray NEXT. This is from another thread and I don't want to assume people in this forum read the other forums, so I posted it here too. I did a WB on the first image, in PS, other than that they are the same with the adaptive exception.

Could you send the scene to support@chaosgroup.com so we can take a look? Mention this thread in your e-mail along with your V-Ray, host platform, OS, GPU drivers versions and GPU model/s.

I have some internal solution for this, but it needs a bit more testing. Does it go away if you turn off the "max ray intensity" option in the V-Ray GPU settings?

          Best regards,

Yeah, I actually found the issue finally and I have a fix, so it will be ready for testing in a day or so.

                Best regards,
                Vlado
