  • Issues with Phoenix FD and Hybrid rendering

    Hey All,

I am trying to speed things up a bit with Hybrid rendering so I am testing it on some scenes. Mostly it's working fine but one scene that would really benefit from some extra speed is I have a bedroom with a sudden blast of Phoenix FD cloud coming in from the side. The Hybrid rendering gets through the Light Cache fine but then when it comes to the full render, I get an error that an exception has occurred and it aborts the render.

Running Max 2020, Vray Next Update 3 and the latest update of Phoenix FD.

Is there a log or something I can post here for you to look at?

Best you send the scene along with the assets and Phoenix cache to support@chaosgroup.com so we can take a look. You can send the 'vraylog.txt' file (%temp% directory of windows; make sure it is the one generated after the error) as well. Mention this thread in the e-mail along with your GPU model/s, GPU driver, OS versions.
