  • Rending using GPU produces Black screen (V-Ray for SketchUp 4.10.02)

    Hi All - Hopefully a simple problem to fix but I can't seem to figure it out!


    I am trying to render using the GPU (I have a GTX 1070 on my Windows 10 Desktop using SketchUp Pro 2019) which only takes a few seconds to process but produces nothing more than a plain black screen. If I use the CPU and GPU I get the same result, however, when using the CPU alone it works perfectly as expected.

    I have been looking around and checked the following:
    - Camera not clipping
    - Not inside geometry
    - Toggled Material Override
    - Any a few more, fiddling with settings...

    Let me know if I'm missing something!

    It looks like you've stopped the process at the compiling kernels stage. It is calculated only the first time when rendering with V-Ray GPU. You can try waiting for it to complete and let us know if the rest of the render process runs fine.
    If this does not resolve the problem, please check if your GPU drivers are up to date.
    For further assistance, we would need the render progress log. The progress window is accessible by clicking the square button at the bottom-right corner of t he VFB.

      Thank you Peter, I have now had my Graphics Drivers updated and all is now running as expected! Much appreciated!
