  • RTX VFB Background Image issue, when trying to get shadow on floor

Soooo, when rendering I like to use the VFB Background image as my image plane, instead of through Maya's camera, because I can make CC without it effecting the image and have the CC just effecting the CG

If I use the cpu, this works fine when trying to get shadows, but when I use RTX, it doesn't work properly. It's like it's over laying the background image where the floor plane is.

I'll upload a test image, for you guys to see.

Any idea on how to fix this will be appreciated.

I know I can just render with the CPU, but the GPU is faster, so I'd prefer to use that if possible.

Could you send the scene to support@chaosgroup.com so we can take a look? Mention this thread in the e-mail along with your V-Ray and host platform versions.

Thanks for the provided scene. It seems the issue is a known one (internal bug-tracker id: VGPU-4125), work on which has already begun. You can easily add the background in post-production as a workaround.
