  • GPU interior scene speed issues

    Hello everyone,

I wanted to see if anyone is experiencing similar issues. I have an interior scene of a house that im working on. All of my interior decorations are turned off because I just need to work on my lighting. I am currently lighting it with a Vray Dome and a Vray Sun, some can lights in the ceiling. IPR chugs. It seems like the iterations are very very slow in resolving the image. I am rendering GPU Cuda - 14 core i9, 1080ti and an RTX Titan. I believe hardware is plenty enough. to resolve this with no problem.

What im thinking is the issue is the amount of secondary bounces that need to happen to render it out. Does anyone have any thoughts or input on this? I can upload the scene when I get home.

It may depend on the scene. Does it happen on every scene with a similar setup or just this specific one? Best you send the scene to support@chaosgroup.com so we can take a look. Mention this thread along with your V-Ray and host platform versions and a log from the rendering.
