  • IPR doesn't match the final render

    Hi everyone,
I'm writing regarding an issue I'm experiencing with vray5 for gpu version.

Basically my final render it's a lot different from the IPR version.
I know that, because of the approximation, undersamplig etc etc, it could be sliglhtly different in IPR than final render, but right now I am far from slightly.

Is there any setting I should check to minimize this problem?
In the renders setting everything is by deault, I touched nothing

This is without "autoexposure active, with it active the difference is less evident, but still there

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me

The differences should be with the "Auto-Exposure" and "Auto-White balance" since these options require a calculated Light Cache, which is not yet evident in V-Ray GPU IPR (it uses BF/BF). However, something else may also create the differences. Do send the scene to support@chaosgroup.com so we can take a look. Mention this thread in the e-mail along with your V-Ray and host platform versions.

      Hi Aleksandar,
Thanks for your reply, I'm sending the scene to email mentioned by you.

Just to clarifay though, with Auto exposure deactivated I have this problem.
with auto exposure active, the difference is still there, but less evident.

The only work around I found so far, to have the IPR to match the final render with LC GI, is:
put GI mode in BF, change from 3 to 100 the number of bounces, go back to LC...(because in LC mode is not possible to change the number of bounces)
in this way IPR matches Final render with LC mode.

I don't know if it's something normal, I mean, if it's a correct behave....or if it's something negative for render time (from 3 to 100 bounces), but at least ipr looks the same for the moment
