  • Alpha Contribution -1 Bucket Mode Crash

    Hello,

i have scene which i need to render in-house. So i tried to render them with Vray GPU. The Problem is, that i need a clear alpha channel. So i have an object which has the setting "alpha contribution -1". With
the CPU Vray everything is fine. But in GPU Mode the alpha channel is missing. So i've found a thread where somebody sad to use the bucket mode, but when i switch to bucket mode i get an exception with
the result of a 3dsmax crash.

    NVIDIA RTX 2080TI Sli
    Studio Driver 456.71

Anybody an ideo how i maybe solve the alpha issue in progressive GPU mode?

Could you send the scene to support@chaosgroup.com so we can take a look? Mention this thread in the e-mail along with the generated 3dsmax_minidump.dmp file (located in the windows temp folder; %temp% in windows browser), and your V-Ray and host platform versions.
Otherwise, note that the alpha contribution control is not yet supported in V-Ray GPU. What exactly are you trying to achieve? If you wish a clear alpha, you may simply apply a solid color in post-production.
