  • light cutout from refaction

    Hi everyone,
I didn't know if to post this on vray5 for 3ds max, or here....but because I'm usign the gpu version I chose this section.
If it'às not right please let me know.

Anyway, I'm having a little problem that I don't know how to fix right now.
Just creating a small island, water created with Phoenix FD and the ocean option...

Without any geometry the ocean works pretty fine.
with the island work fine too, but it's cratind a weird shadow that I don't know I to solve.

if you see the image, bottom left corner you'll see the problem.
It doesn't matter which geometry I put there, I tried also with the vray plane....it will look always like that.

    what am I doing wrong?

    thanks in aadvance

    I might found the problem...
The fake infinite ocean, it's the cutout plane to cover the camera view.

any setting that allows me to extend the plane over...so as to avoid that problem?

Try using the Off-Screen Margin parameter (percentage of the image size), which extends the ocean further from the borders of the camera view and see if that makes any difference.
