Hi everyone,
sorry to bother...but ther eis something I can't fix with my actual knowledge, still too rookie on vray.
I'm testing the 5.1 version, I took a project I made in fstorm, converted with a script, converted to bitmat with vray scene converter, adjusted lighting manually, adjusted some materials manually, but some left as they were converted,
they are not probably the most optimized materials, but they are too much and they look good enough for the test.
I'm having a some of issue:
-I know IPR in gpu work with bf-bf, so looks darker then final render that use LC.
I know there is LC with gpu, but slows down the workflow because it restarts the render and the LC each time, but it's fine.
the thing I don't get is....ipr with LC gpu looks in 1 way, final render with gpu LC slightly different, and final render without GPU LC even different....which one is the most correct set up for the final render? with GPU LC or without?
-IPR with gpu seems to take more time than with cpu, my configuration is i9 10940x 14 cores, 3x 2080ti. attached an example.
render went for about 6 seconds for each setup(after LC was done where LC was on), gpu bf even for longer.
at one point something weird happened. switching from cpu to gpu, for 5 mins gpu IPR was sso fast the the cleaning up was almost immediate...after those 5 mins it went back to be slower....and who knows why.
I thought it could be the materials...so I tried with override option....but still slower
-final render is faster in cpu than gpu, and gpu gives me fireflies
