  • Displacement + Composite Map not working

    Hello there,

    I'm trying to put a composite map into the Vraydisplacement modifier, with a procedural max Noise as mask. The result is not working, it seems that the VrayDisplacementMod is not taking into account more than one map. It's workng in vray CPU but not GPU.

    Is that normal ? Do you know a workaround to create a simple blend material for a forest ground?

    Thanks for the report. I've logged the issue (internal bug-tracker id: VGPU-5404) for developer investigation. As a workaround, you may Render the map itself (right-click on Composite node in ME>Render Map) and use it for displacement directly.

      Hello,

      Thanks for the reply. So I'm not crazy, its a bug.

      The RenderMap workaround is a start but unfortunately since it's not procedural anymore it's very limited.

        Hello,

        The update 1.3 just been released, and nothing about this issue.
        The composite map still not working correctly in the Displacement modifier with the GPU rendered.

        Basicaly, it's impossible to build an environnement in Vray Gpu right now, and for the past few month, I'm not sure you realize the implication of this bug ?
