  • VRay GPU with UDIMs breaks textures when enabling motion blur

    Title says it all really...

I have a model, it has 4 UV tiles that work fine with CPU and with GPU but without motion blur enabled. When motion blur is enabled the mapping is broken, it looks like the UDIMs are no longer being used, and it's mapping a single tile across the whole model.

Is this a known bug? I have tried merging into a new scene and all the usual fixes but nothing seems to be fixing the issue..

    I am running 3ds max 2021 update 3

    Hi dantrodgers,

I am unable to reproduce the same issue - oddly enough, testing with the latest version of V-Ray on 3ds max 2021 we are getting a CUDA error 700 with UDIMs and MoBlur, which is now reported; the textures do appear as expected though.

What if you set the engine type to RTX, do you get the same issue? Can you share a sample scene so we can test it out? You can forward it through our contact form, just make sure to mention this thread (or my name) in the email along with the exact V-Ray version used. Much appreciated!
