  • VrayEdgesTex'es "Consider same object only" not working properly when the objects are close together

    The "Consider same object only" option in VrayEdgesTex doesn't seem to be working properly when the objects are very close together. It works fine with the CPU renderer. Screenshot and scene attached.

    Hi Alex,

    Thanks for the pointer - we've logged this in our internal bug-tracking system under VGPU-5447 for developer investigation.

    I'll let you know when there are any updates on the matter; a workaround would be to separate the objects a little more;

      Thanks! By the way, related to this problem there's also another issue where artifacts appear along the edges when the objects are close together, but not completely touching. Please check the image below. There's probably not more than a millimeter or so space between the metal ring and the pipe. To make the artifacts disappear I have to space out the objects more, but then the space between them becomes larger which is not what I want. This issue doesn't occur with the CPU engine.
