  • Maya 2022 - Vray 5 Update 2 - DR Render Nodes Freeze

I updated this weekend to test the update.

I have 2 Render Nodes: Both are Threadripper 1950x 128GB RAM with RTX 3090

Workstation is Threadripper 3970x and also has a RTX 3090

All machines have latest Win 10 Pro, Nividia Driver 496.13 and lastest Maya version 2022

Our internal network is 10 Gbe on all machines.

DR works fine on CPU in Progressive and Bucket

When we switch to GPU Cuda or RTX in either Progessive or Bucket the Render Nodes join and satrt but then stop immediately leaving the workstaion GPU to carry on on its own.

Re-installing Vray 5 Update 1 on all machines work fine.

    Thanks

Are there any error messages in the log? Does this happen in every scene? If not, could you send the scene in question via the contact form so we can take a look?

Thanks for the report. The issue is reproducible and I've logged it for developer investigation (internal bug-tracker id: VMAYA-10922).
