  • Only 1 of my local GPUs is being used when I enable distributed rendering

I've had this issue for almost a year now. Whenever I enable distributed rendering, only my RTX 3090 on the local machine is being used. The GTX 1080 Ti just sits idle. Why is that? Screenshot below.

    Hi Alex_M

In case you have rendered before in the current session with only one GPU, you need to close the V-Ray command (screenshot) and start rendering again. It will refresh and use all GPUs.
If you are still having issues, please send us the VRayLog.txt located in the temp folder here. Please mention this thread.

    Thanks!

Thanks, Martin. I'll try it out! Is it possible to automate this procedure so that it happens without user intervention?

        Hi Alex,

If you change the selected GPU devices once, it will stick like this unless you do not modify it. We also have an environment variable and V-Ray GPU devices select tool you can use to set the devices.
The environment variable could be added to the automation progress.
