  • CUDA is fine but RTX is error every time

So I optimised this heavy scene (loads of Forest and displacement) to try and get it to run with my 2080ti.
It renders fine using CUDA but every time I try RTX to get the presumed speed increase I get the error attached.
Should I simply give up on using RTX or is there a cure?

I should add that unlike any CUDA error I've seen before optimising, with the RTX error the vfb simply hangs, whereas
CUDA will stop and log it as such iirc.

I'm using the recommended driver, latest everything else.

I'll add some summary info as it shows it's only heavy by virtue of the scatters, which are in fact also much reduced, so this error must surely relate to that, no?

Not to worry about responding to this, as the itoo guys helped me with it.
It is a Vray issue (according to the dmp file) caused by a vrscene object, so can't be avoided other than by
curing that, which is a different matter altogether.
