  • Gpu vram

Hi, if I render a new empty scene with no geometry and no lights, vray uses 3.8GB in vram - is this normal?
    Max 2023, VRay_adv_60020_max2023_x64
    Win 10
    Nvidia Driver 527.56 & downgraded to 526.98, didn't help.

How do you know its vray?
Are you using gpuz or the taskmanager?
    Or the vray log?

I'm looking at the stats on the frame buffer.

Yes, there has always been a base amount of memory used for the engine itself.

Would it be as high as 4gigs for a blank scene with nothing in it?

Yes, just tested it on a simple scene and it's around 3,5GB.
