    Hi everyone,
I've read other topics for this same or similar problem, but I haven't found a unique solution. GPU rendering (both CUDA and RTX) have not worked for a few days, before I had no problem. I also tested with old projects and the problem persists, so I guess it's not a problem with the file. I installed the 532.41 driver because I read that the .61 is not verified, is that correct? I'm working with a RTX 3080 + AMD Ryzen 7 + 32gb ram

Thank you damiano_corradini for your cooperation - we have identified this particular issue as memory-related.

Memory usage can be tracked during render in the V-Ray Frame Buffer Stats Tab:

Apart from that the scene can be optimized or it can be uploaded in Cloud.
Please find more useful optimization tips in the Memory Usage Optimizations for CPU rendering article.

I just split the file into two lighter ones, and for now it seems to work in CUDA (in RTX it still doesn't work). So could it be that the size of the files affects it? why then old files on which I worked and completed if I reopen them does not render in gpu work anymore?

Hello damiano_corradini and welcome to Chaos Forums!

First I wanted to say that we could check your scenes as well if you do not mind. If this is alright please open a ticket using this submit request form and upload the archived scene in the ticket. Please make sure to archive it with the Pack Project tool (Extensions > V-Ray > Pack Project tool).
Apart from that please share some additional information:

        I'm working with a RTX 3080 + AMD Ryzen 7 + 32gb ram
Is this a laptop or a desktop machine? If possible please share the screenshot of the System Information tab.

GPU rendering (both CUDA and RTX) have not worked for a few days, before I had no problem.
When did the problem start? Do you recall any changes or updates? Also, do you get any errors in the log?

I installed the 532.41 driver because I read that the .61 is not verified, is that correct?
Latest recommended driver version is 531.41, you can always find this information here on the top of this page: https://www.chaos.com/vray-gpu.
But perhaps also test the older driver versions as suggested in this post.

        Waiting for your reply.

Hello Natalia, thanks for the reply.
I am attaching the specifications of my desktop computer.
The error started on Monday, the only thing I can think of is that I updated the graphics card drivers the previous Friday.
Even if I go back to version 531.41 (before I wrote wrong) the problem still exists.
I didn't check for errors in the log.
I sent the file as you indicated.

          Thank you fo your attention
