  • lights not rendering

i started with a revit sample scene, exported to fbx and imported to max 2022. revit version is 2023.

i ran a 3ds max conversion to go from autodesk materials to physical materials only.

then i ran another conversion to go from physical materials to vray materials with vray scene converter.

i'm using the latest updates for 3ds max and vray.

    also i'm using vray GPU.

i can't get photometric lights to render... 3ds max photometric lights. on the help page it says GPU support photometric lights (free rectangles in this sample scene from revit) and it distinguishes between vray lights and photometric lights.

i've created a new spherical 3ds max photometric light and it's not work either.

    thanks!

i see. in another vrscene converter help file, it shows that the light has to be uniform diffuse or uniform spherical. now i can just use the vrscene converter and not worry about using the 3ds max scene converter. interesting ok so switch the imported light to uniform diffuse for light distrution type and i'm good to go. + some tweaks in the light when i get the results.
