  • 4090 with Gpu only using maximum of 50% - Why ?

Hi, i've been reading various forum posts regarding vray gpu only running at half load with 4090

Stating that there's a bug with Nvidias current drivers and using the card with monitor screens.
I've tested Vray benchmark uses 100% and Houdini rendering with Karma which uses 98% load. and is super fast. Why is it that Vray Gpu only uses a max 50% ?
    Attached are GPU-Z readings

Any advice appreciated as i can't quite understand why other software doesnt seem to have this problem.

Can't be a driver bug. Redshift runs exactly 2x as fast on my 4090 than on my 3090 - Vray is about the same speed on both.

Does your Vray run at lower speeds ? Ive tried various drivers tbh.

It appears that on the 4090 Vray isn't running to its full potential. It's about the same speed of my 3090 and always uses about 2x as much Vram on the 4090 than on the 3090. Other renderers don't behave like this, so I don't think it's driver related.
