material editor preview is not rendering.

Hi,

I have this issue with vray nightlies. It doesn't render material preview. It happens in vray gpu. When I set material renderer to default scanline then it works then I need to switch to vray cpu for material renderer. But again it starts to disappear.

What is the issue here?

No issues here. Which nightly build do you have installed? Any license issues? Or error messages?

It happens with whatever nightly version I use. It started to happen when I did "View image file" from "File" menu option.

This doesn't happen with stable vray release.

Have you tried updating the swatches preview after switching the Material Editor renderer? Also, check if manual update is active in the Material Editor Options (CME>Options>Options). Post a screencap of those settings.

Is it because I am using vantage live link? This doesn't happen with vray gpu stable version.

No issues on my end with Vantage live link active. Which nightly build do you have installed? Does it happen without Vantage live link? When exactly does it happen?

It is very randmoly. It happened without live link too when I clicked "File > View image file" inside 3dsmax. I can't seem to figure out what is causing this in nightly build. Could be it because of other renderer installed on my 3dsmax? I have octane, fstorm, centileo, arnold installed.

I cannot reproduce it still. Could you try the suggestions from this article and see if that makes any difference?
