  • Environment fog does not support Mapping options

    Hi,
I use the environment fog texture mapping in Vantage but have been switching back to Vray GPU because of features Vantage doesn't have (motion blur, opacity maps, dirt maps etc) but I am finding Vray GPU has a lot of missing features as well..

Will you support texture maps in environment fog?

More importantly, when will there be one single software for GPU users? It's so annoying having to go back and forth and never being able to actually do 100% of what you want like in Vray CPU.

Hi, thanks for posting. I will investigate this case a bit further. So far VRayEnvironmentFog does not work with maps in my test. Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing, you mean these maps is that correct?

Hi, the VRayEnvironmentFog maps do not work with V-Ray GPU. This is an issue the GPU team is working on fixing.

Could you tell us a bit more about that? In my test the Vantage viewport turns to black if I enable the fog color map (I used VRayColor for the test).
