    As title says, Refraction glossiness or roughness does not affect shadows, but in real life it should.

    That's probably because your shader refraction's "Affect Shadows" is active, which makes it cast transparent shadows for a simple caustic effect. If you wish for the Refraction glossiness to affect those shadows, you must disable the "Affect Shadows" of the shader and enable Caustic calculations (Render Setup> Settings > Caustics).​

    Note: This will work on the CPU, but not on the GPU (check limitations in the page).
