    [09:50:42.188] Warning : Num samples per thread reduced to 32768, rendering might be slower

    All textures are converted to 2K-TX, and I am getting the above error. These scenes never had memory issues earlier. Anything to do?

    GPU 0

    NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090

    My current hardware setup:
    • Ryzen 9 5900x CPU
    • 128gb Vengeance RGB Pro RAM
    • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 X2
    • ​Windows 11 Pro

    Rebooting Windows solved it, so V-Ray isn't releasing RAM.

    Before the reboot, the est render times were 2-3 hours. Now, it is 35 minutes, which is what I would expect for this scene.

      yeah im pretty sure im having the same issue since vray7. Quiting 3dsmax releases it for me.

        If you're using RTX as a GPU engine - this is a known issue (internal bug-tracker id: VGPU-6714) concerning a memory leak when rendering animations with RTX. Main thread here. To confirm - try rendering with CUDA and see if there's a difference.
