I noticed that material override on GPU using Brute Force/Light Cache, causes Gi bleeding. But (Brute /Brute ) will does it correctly. CPU no bleeding in both modes.
I made a similar setup to yours with V-Ray 7.00.03 and I do not see any differences between CPU and GPU with Brute Force or Light Cache.
Perhaps there is something different in your project - could you please share it? Make an archive with the Pack Project tool (V-Ray>Pack Project) and open a ticket (request type: Product usage questions or issues) where you can upload it.

Hello, I want to share that the issue is logged in our internal system as VRW-4810. Your forum post is linked to it and once there are any updates on this matter we will inform you. In the meantime as you have noted you may use Brute Force GI with GPU.
Thank you for the report!
