vrayRT demo black viewport

trying to sell vrayRT to the guys upstairs i thought i'd give a live show of the demo, but i'm getting a black viewport saying '320x240 max resolution for demo' and the vrayRT server says 'waiting for render requests', any ideas?

i'm on max2010 x64

Just reduce the rendering resolution for the RT; (e.g. for the floating window, enter the resolution in the Common tab of the Render Setup dialog, for the viewport - just resize the viewport to be smaller before starting the RT).

floating viewport? that is news to me, gotta do some research.
got it working by resizing max itself though.
