  • Map paths

I gather that RT does not use external Map Paths at all as defined in the 3dsmax.ini files of each server. Correct?

So, if I'm NOT using explicit mapped or UNC names for my files -- but instead rely on my .ini files for servers to locate textures during normal backburner rendering, that will not suffice for RT. Correct?

For RT, I should use the Vray Asset Path environmental variable in lieu of listing texture folders in the INI, right?

The RT will not read the .ini files of 3ds Max; however you can use the VRAY_ASSETS_PATH environment variable on the render slaves to specify additional map search paths.

but what if I have multiple map paths, sometimes 4-5 folders deep?
do I have to enter each and every one of them manually? :/
