  • UVW changes are not updated in RT

In all my scenes I don't notice any UVW updates in RT. Scaling, rotating using the unwrap uvw gives no realtime feedback.

Is there already a fix for this? Closing RT and re enabling all the time is not the point of RT me thinks

Which 3ds Max version are you using?

Unfortunately we are not able to support this for 3ds Max 2008; it works fine for 3ds Max 2009 and later though, because they have a new API specifically for tracking scene changes.

We cannot capture some scene modifications, e.g. some modifiers, objects being created (you need to exit the create mode for the object to be detected); there are no other functional differences.

We are currently allays on max2008 64 for the pipeline production ("we don't change a horse that win", french expression, don't know if it exist in english ), but we had already seen the limitation on max 2008 with VrayRT, so for some job, we are switching to max 2010, but it's really a pain in the ass.
Does VrayRT work the same way on max 2009 ? (for all beside the fur?)
I haven't done tests yet, but if it's the case, we could switch on 2009 in place of 2010.

V-Ray RT works the same in 3ds Max 2009 and 2010.

                    Hello,

I am also experiencing this problem in max9...is there a fix possible?

                    Thanks

I found that hiding the object and then un-hiding it, updates the UVW mapping...not great, but loads better than restarting max...

Yep; moving the object will also work (or anything else that causes V-Ray RT to re-export the entire mesh again).

                        Best regards,
                        Vlado
