  • RT brighter than normal rendering?

    Hello,

today, I opened up one of my archvis scenes and started RT on vray phys.camera Nr. 14.
While the rendering looks ok, the VRay RT ActiveShade is way to overexposed.

It looks like RT does not consider any of the physical camera's exposure control values. But that's not true. If I decrease the ISO value from 200 to about 2 - the RT image look way better.

Any idea what I might have done wrong?

If it is an old scene, it may have the "Legacy sun/sky/camera models" option ON, which is ignored by the RT engine.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Ok; in that case I'm not quite sure what may be the cause, if you wish send me scene with just the ground plane to vlado@chaosgroup.com and I'll be able to tell you more.

        Best regards,
        Vlado

Thank you Vlado! But I have sorted it out now.
I had a hidden layer with some vray lights in it. One of those lights has been a vray dome light with a value of about 6000. Although the light had been on a hidden layer, RT took it into render calculation.
Now I have deleted that light and everything works just fine.
