  • Is there a limit to distributed renderingservers?

I'm running into a problem when I add more than 9 computers to my RT farm. When I add the 10th and active an active shade nothing happens. The Activeshade window says waiting for image, My local vray.exe window says" Finished loading plugins. Entering server mode - waiting for render requests on port 20206. Press Ctrl+C to Exi"t. All my render servers say" Running RTEngine". Nothing happens. If I uncheck one of the render servers it works fine. Also, even if vray rt is not running on a server and I check the box next to that server it counts as one of the nine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm running RT 1.50 SP1 on windows 7. My farm is a mix of windows 7, xp64 and xp32.

How many licenses for V-Ray RT do you have? One license will allow up to 10 render nodes (including the client machine which starts the ActiveShade renderer).

We are aware of the issue where a slave machine will be counted for a license even if the render server is not running on it; this will be corrected.

    Best regards,

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.
