  • Waiting for Image Data... Yes me too

OK so the thing starts of with the black screen as some messages about loading in 2 seconds etc. Then it sits on "Waiting for Image Data...".
If I click on the vray.exe window, it says "Unhandled exception occured, will exit render loop"
    "Writing crash dump to "....VRay.dmp"

It does this with ALL my scenes. Except a new scene with maybe 1 or 2 boxes.
    What's up?

So far RT is useles for me
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

Which build of V-Ray RT is this? Can you get me one of these crash dumps to vlado@chaosgroup.com?

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Vlado I have sent the file. I'm using RT 1.5sp2 (or should I say I'm still attempting to get it working)

Are you using PSD textures in the scene? If yes, then this is fixed in the beta version on the site.

The previous scene DID have psd textures, but for this latest scene I'll have to check and get back to you on Monday.

I suddenly got the same problem while working on a scene, which was very simple as I was investigating some odd behavior with multi/sub materials. The behavior was the same regardless of CPU or Open CL. Once I restarted Max my scene worked again.

I can confirm that both scenes have psd textures. When you say it is fixed in the beta, what do you mean by that? As in VRay2.0 beta? Why can't we just get a fix for 1.5sp2? I can't use beta software in a production.
                Kind Regards,

It will be fixed for the 1.5 builds too, of course, but the official SP is still some time away. I can probably get you an update earlier than that though.

                  Vlado

I'll wait for the official fix. Unless you can PM me with dowload instructions for the fix

This still does NOT WORK even with the service pack!
If I have photoshop textures it still just sits and "Waiting for image data..."
