  • RT and subdivisions

    Hi guys,

Just got RT running the last couple of days... and wow it is amazing!
Only one thing I can't seem to get to work is the subD settings.
I some poly geo, and I have hit '3' on the keyboard and added the subD and subD control with the extra attributes, but the geo stays the same, rough low resolution in the render while in the viewport its fine.
The subD is enabled in the settings and I have tried 256 to 4 and even different edge length settings.
    Am I missing something here?

You also need to enable the "Render viewport subdivision" option in the "Global options" rollout in the V-Ray settings.

    Best regards,

      Hi Vlado,

I have tried that, and also just on a simple sphere but it does not seem to work.
      See attached image.

I am using build 20110123 for Maya in Linux

      Thanks
      Diego

Hm, that build is rather old; you might want to try the V-Ray 2.0 beta builds.
