Rt as production renderer stops at "waiting for renderer"

  • Rt as production renderer stops at "waiting for renderer"

    I can get rt (cpu and gpu) to work when set to active shade but when set to production render I just get the message
    "waiting for renderer" .

    I also get no feedback in the rt console window when rt attempts a render as the production renderer either.

    I'm sure I've missed something obvious. Any ideas?

    Did you close the ActiveShade before starting V-Ray RT as production renderer?

      yes, I've closed the window and turned it back to scanline.

          only local just to see if I could get it to work before adding more machines.

                i thought at first it was one of the bercon map but it still didn't work after I removed them. It seemed to have been either the composite map or the vray normals map that was inside the composite

                  today i have the same issue with vray RT 2.1.

                  I create an empty scene. I add a cube select Vray RT for production renderer and hit render , but it's stop at " waiting for renderer "
                  Active shade work. Back to production renderer it's not working ...


                  Edit :
                  I've find how to solve this.
                  Open the Task manager, killing the vrayrt spawner task , killing Vray.exe task. Then after it's work .

                    Probably the normal map inside the composite one. Will make a note to look into it.

                      It seems like when VrayRT get stuck on "Rendering image..." the only mean to make it produce an image is to make a change in some setting, such as turn off GI, do a render, and then turn it on again.
