  • RT GPU not rendering the entire animation

I have a 500 frame long animation, for some reason it blasts along until frame 300 or so. at frame 300, it keeps rendering the same frame over and over again until its technically frame '500' so basically frame 300 to 500 are the same thing.

has anyone had any problems similar? i'm wondering if it has something to do with the 'render until x amount of paths'. I would just love to use the GTX 580 for animations, its amazing.. 9secs a frame vs 31secs (i7 920 @ 3.2ghz)

Is your active time segment set to 0-300 ?
I think I already had that problem in early versions so I don't know if was fixed or not since...

Be sure your Active time segment is set for your entire animation

strange, active time segment was 0-500 , but instead of using 'range' i used active time segment and all 500 rendered properly. Either way , thanks for your help!

I have experienced the same problem.

I've just tried using the Vray RT animation Preview render. The first time it went well, but the second time in high res it rendered the same frame for about 5sec/150frames out of 14sec!
When I look at the sequence in After Effects, I can see that it actually zooms in just a tiny bit - so not exactly the same frame. Strange error!
