Hi all,
first post here, congrats for the very good product you developed.
I have a problem with the vrayRT output when using vrayHDRI.
Basically when you play with both gamma and overall/render multiplier in the map (both at the same time, otherwise it'll be ok), you have a different output between the production renderer and RT.
You can easily reproduce this:
- A plane and a teapot with a black material with pure reflection
- Create a vrayHDRI with a map (a black and white one with good contrast will enhance the effect) and put it in the vray:environment reflection override
- Launch RT and a standard render
Now if you leave everything at 1, they'll be the same. Even if you change singularly overall mult OR gamma, they will match perfectly.
But if you change both at the same time, something like gamma 0.3 and overall mult 2.0, RT will output a somewhat "clamped" result.
Same thing happens if you do changes like these through the color corrector map. It's a global error, if you put the map in the texture slot of the vraylight you'll have different results in the diffuse not just reflection.
Any idea why this is happening?
