RT can't load textures from network location

Hey guys,
I have a strange problem when using RT. I can easily render simple scenes without textures, but as soon as I load textures from our server into on of my materials, I can't see them. When I copy the textures from the server to my local harddrive, they appear again. It seems that RT doesn't have permission to access the files on the server. That's strange, because with production Vray everything works fine. I am the admin on my machine, and I have complete read and write permissions for the server. Also, the little command line window with all the stats of RT doesn't pop up after hitting the active shade button. Any clues on this?

Hmmm..someone fixed this recently by changing Max's preferences to using UNC names. You might give that a shot. I think there can be other permissions-related texture issues but I cannot recall them exactly right now. You might try a search...

Are you running the RT render server as a service or you start it manually? If it is a service, you might have to set it to use your local user, and not the default system one.
