  • distributed renders with rt cpu

I'm just wondering if there is a way to quickly check which rt servers have picked up the job.

I'm running rt cpu in the active shade being distributed over 8 render nodes running the rt server.

though it seems like its only using a few of them are picking the job up.

any tips on getting this working correctly?

    thanks

The most certain way would be to log on to the machines (either physically or through Remote Desktop) and check the CPU usage.

I was getting a weird issue, where I was only getting a couple of rt render servers working. but when i disabled ones that worked, others came online and started working.

is there a 10 dr limit per vray license for rt too? shouldn't have been an issue though since we have a couple of licenses and and i was trying to use less than 8 pc's.

any thoughts one what could be happening?

      thanks

No, there is no fixed limit; if you have more licenses, they should work fine. When you log in to the idle machines, do they say anything in their RT server window?
